Privacy policy
Last updated: 15 May 2026
This privacy policy explains how Saman Taherimoud ("I", "me", "my") handles information when you visit samantm.com.
The short version
This is a personal portfolio website. I don't collect your data, I don't use analytics, and I don't track you. The only thing stored is your accessibility preferences (theme, text size, etc.) in your browser's local storage so the site remembers them between visits. That data never leaves your device.
Information I collect
From this website, nothing that leaves your device. The site does not:
- Use analytics services (no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Mixpanel)
- Use third-party tracking cookies
- Collect personal information through forms (there are no forms)
- Track your browsing behaviour
Local storage
The site uses your browser's local storage to remember your accessibility preferences (theme, text size, high contrast, underline links). This data stays on your device. You can clear it at any time using your browser's settings or the "Reset all preferences" button in the accessibility panel (bottom-right of the page).
Hosting
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may collect basic technical information (such as IP addresses) as part of standard web hosting operations. See GitHub's Privacy Statement for details.
Third-party fonts
This website uses Google Fonts (Fraunces and Inter). When you visit, your browser may download font files from Google's servers, and Google may collect basic technical data during that exchange. See Google's Privacy Policy.
External links
This website contains links to external services (LinkedIn, Papi Labs, GuideKit, etc.). I am not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites and encourage you to read their respective policies.
Your rights under UK GDPR
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation, you have rights regarding your personal data. Because this website does not collect or process personal data, those rights are not engaged here. If you have concerns, you can lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If I ever add features that collect data, I will update this policy and note the changes here.
